Supplements are perhaps the most controversial, non-surgical, way to lose weight.  And to be completely honest, we don't recommend them.  However we have added this page so that you may view others' reviews of supplements and make your own decisions.

Xenadrine- "This supplement was quite expensive.  You get about two weeks worth for $60 in Canada.  The pills are actually quite large caplets filled with an organic looking substance, that I found quite difficult to swallow.  My sister took them as well and had a successful loss of close to 20 pounds which was her weight goal.  Xenadrine are intended to be taken in combination with an active lifestyle and plenty of water.  I stopped taking them after a week because I found that they made me too hyper, they increased my heart rate and my body temperature. They gave me heart burn and nausea. If you feel it is worth these side effects and cost-they do actually work."

Slim fast- "I have been on a slim fast diet for about two-three months now.  At first I didn't like the taste of the shakes and I didn't find them filling at all.  However I liked the fact that I was able to eat a full supper.  I did lose weight when I wasn't cheating on it.  But I found it hard not to cheat because I felt hungry after the shakes.  I have gotten used to the taste and I buy a variety of flavors to mix it up.  Once you get to your desired weight then you only have to replace one meal a day with the shakes to maintain your weight."
